    Portrait of MESD Superintendent Sam Breyer Sam Breyer is the Superintendent for MESD.
     Prior to joining MESD, Mr. Breyer served for four years as Superintendent of the Centennial School District. He began his career in education as a teacher at East Gresham Elementary where he taught for seven years.  His administrative experience includes serving as a Teacher on Special Assignment for one year, Principal for Butler Creek Elementary for four years, and an Assistant Director of Curriculum and Student Learning. Mr. Breyer earned his Bachelors of Science in Economics and Masters of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood/Elementary from Willamette University.  He earned his administrator’s certificate in Education Leadership from Lewis & Clark College. 
     
     
    Sascha Sascha Perrins  is the Interim Assistant Superintendent for MESD.
     Mr. Perrins brings over twenty years of teaching and  administrative experience to the position.   He began his  teaching and administrative career with the Beaverton School  District as a middle school language arts teacher and later as  Principal at  Kinnaman Elementary School.  For the last several  years he has served in administrator positions at Portland Public  Schools  including Principal, Jason Lee School K-8, Regional  Administrator, Lincoln Roosevelt clusters and Senior Director, PK-  12 programs in the Office of School Performance. Mr. Perrins  earned his Bachelor of Arts at Linfield College and his Masters of  Arts in Teaching at Lewis and Clark College. 
     
     

     Portrait of Heather Severns, Executive Assistant to the MESD Superintendent Heather Severns  is the executive assistant to the superintendent and assistant superintendent, the Board Secretary, and the District Assessment Coordinator.   Heather is a graduate of Jacksonville State University in Alabama and the University of Oregon.  Email Heather  or call her at 503-257-1504.
