The Nursing Program provides:
- Chronic Disease management.
- Direct health services to ill & injured students.
- Liaison services between home, school and community health care resources.
- Safety, growth and development, mental, emotional and physical wellness promotion.
Services prioritized by:
- Life threatening situation.
- Mandated by legislation.
- Activities that improve health and participation in the educational process.
In 2009-2010
- 121,262 student encounters for acute health events.
- 250,547 total nursing treatments for acute needs.
- Additionally, 3,803 students received nursing management for a chronic health condition involving 3,733 hours of service time.
- 83% of graduating seniors had at least 1 nursing service in school.
