What If My Child Does Not Demonstrate Special Education Needs?
If your child does not demonstrate a need for special education services at this time, but has some mild to moderate delays in some area of development, you may access services privately through a mental health agency, hospital, counselor or therapist. The intake assistant or assessment coordinator may provide private community resource information. If it is determined that the child did not demonstrate a need or meet eligilbility criteria for special education services, and the family or guardian becomes concerned again at a later date, another referral to our agency would be appropriate.
