With a staff of more than 700 regular employees, and about 200 temporary or seasonal staff, Multnomah ESD recognizes that people are the "heart" of education.
The majority of MESD staff members work in classrooms, schools and other instructional settings. Teachers, educational assistants, school nurses and specialized instructional staff make up 78 percent of the workforce; school support staff and office support staff comprise 15 percent; and administrators and supervisors constitute about 7 percent of MESD employees.
